Content & Communications World (CCW) Introduces New Conference Tracks to Popular Media and Communications Technology Event

CCW Adds More Depth and Variety to Event's Specialty Areas, Increases Content Crossover and Education Opportunities for Attendees

TRUMBULL, CT - (July 28, 2009) - Bringing together media and communications technology professionals from around the world, Content & Communications World (CCW) announces its 2009 show dates and newly designed conference offerings.  Taking place October 14-15 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York, HD World Conference & Exposition, SATCON Conference & Expo and IP Media Expo will combine to set a new standard for providing comprehensive education and technology solutions for professionals in the media, government and enterprise markets, with the introduction of a new four-track session offering.

CCW sessions now will be included in one of four specialty tracks, including: Media & Entertainment; Production / Post-Production; Multi-Platform Media and SATCON.  Each track will feature unique perspectives on content delivery and key learnings through presentations such as, Advances in HD Sports Broadcast & Distribution, Satellite Planning - Where Will We Be in 2015 and Today's Streaming of Events and Tomorrow's HD Video Online.

With the current economy placing conference and trade show costs under greater scrutiny, CCW's organizers continue to offer qualified end-users complimentary passes to the show, which includes full access to conference sessions, keynotes, sponsored workshops, tutorials, networking events and the exhibit hall.

"Organizations forced to cut expenses due to economic concerns now can access our show's resources without having to worry about the financial backlash," says Michael Driscoll, Vice President and Event Director for the event.  "By ensuring that we bring qualified end users and exhibitors together, we're giving them the most cost-effective way to network with other professionals, learn new tips and techniques from our sessions, and see the latest offerings the world of media and communication technology has to offer."

"CCW has opened the door to an entirely new wealth of knowledge for professionals in these industries," said Driscoll.  "As different forms of communications media continue to merge, we feel it's our responsibility to keep attendees knowledgeable about the changes, trends and options available to them.  CCW brings this information together in an environment that gives you a complete picture of how these changes impact your business and the businesses around you."

CCW will continue to bring attendees the most in-depth panels, presentations and more than 35 end-user sessions on topics, such as: HD acquisition choices, contribution & distribution, Mobile satellite applications, Integration of satellite technologies, HD workflows in post-production, Mobile DTV, and Future challenges in delivering a high quality video experience over the Internet.  New to the show will be an exhibit called 3Demo, which will allow attendees to see the latest 3D in action and get an up-close look at the technology behind it. Other 3D-related sessions at CCW include:

  • 3D Production & Post panel discussion, featuring 3ality and others
  • 3D / Stereoscopic Television Primer, presented by Miranda Technologies

Conference-goers also will have access to an exhibit floor featuring leading solution providers, allowing business and technology executives to learn 225 new strategies and see new technologies in action.
